Runner-up Nominations

This unbelievable writer was born in St. Paul only to go on to provide the world with some of the most lyrical, poignant prose in literature. A true Minnesota treasure who would likely appreciate his nomination more than anyone else - even the bundt pan.
~Caroline Kessler, St. Paul

He defined the Jazz Age for the whole world. Minnesota has not always claimed him as theirs, but many of his stories are all Minnesotan.
~Mary Everson, Pine Island, MN

I nominated F. Scott Fitzgerald because I think that we should be very proud of him. We should be very proud because he wrote many stories and novels and he mostly lived all his life here in Minnesota. In some of his books he wrote a lot about the ice palace and he wrote about most of the fun thing we do in Minnesota.
~Yessica Zuniga Tepango, Minneapolis, MN
