Lake Superior

This is where the ship came into from Norway, bringing my grandfather. The Lake Superior Port of Call was one of the entrances to the United States from other countries to make their home here in Minnesota.

This lake is the largest of the Great Lakes and has served as means of transportation and shipping since Native times. It holds many landmarks, from the Splitrock Lighthouse to the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald to Duluth's Aerial Lift Bridge. Lake Superior is a very special place for me.
