Independent Politics

I don't know exactly how you would address this, but I think it would be great if you could somehow mention Minnesota's tradition of relatively-independent and thoughtfully-liberal politics. Voting for Ventura, for example, was a provocative act, in part because he was running as an independent. Now, if some wrestler or, say, bodybuilder/actor was to run for governor of a large state as a, say, Republican, and get elected, that wouldn't surprise me so much. Eugene McCarthy, Paul Wellstone?
