Honeycrisp Apple

The Honeycrisp apple was developed specifically to flourish in our climate. It was developed at the University of Minnesota. The state legislature currently is considering a bill to designate the Honeycrisp apple as the official state fruit. This topic would appeal to young audiences and would lend itself well to school programs for younger students.
