The dairy cow is important in Minnesota because of all the farms and the milk producing. Guernseys are important cause they can produce their highest yield of milk on a lesser consumption of feed. They are also popular because they are not the typical black and white cow but they are the brown and white sometimes light cherry red is found too, but without the dairy cow, Minnesota would never be the state that it is today!
