Graceville

Other Nominations
In the late 19th century Graceville was a mixed ethnic farm community. Immigrant Irish were placed there by Archbishop Ireland without farm skills and in bitter MInnesota winters the Irish of rural Graceville barely survived--to the dismay of Archbishop Ireland and sponsors. Remnants of the Graceville Irish are still there today. Many came to St. Paul.
