Evan Maurer

Evan Maurer had the vision to make the Minneapolis Institute of Arts open and accessible to all by keeping admission free. This vision, along with expanding the museum's outreach by collecting artifacts from native and diverse cultures and educational programming inspired members like me. I am moved by this magnificent contribution to our Minnesota life. To be a top-ranked museum is very good but to create a top notch collection and a culture of inclusion and welcome is even better. I would especially like Mr. Maurer to know how grateful Minnesotans are for his great work on our behalf.
