Ellen was born in Sebeka, MN and raised through the 30s depression. She was raised by her mother and siblings after her father died young. She learned how to work hard, cook from scratch, and do this with little funds. She married and had two children, worked at Sears with husband and now still today babysits her great grandchildren.
