Dr. Borchert was an inspiration to many thousands of U of M students through his teaching in the Geography Department. His extensive slide collection and accompanying narrative brought all of Minnesota, the Midwest, and the US into the classroom. He really made you imagine and wonder what was out there and what was to come.
