Brenda Ueland

Brenda Ueland, writer and teacher, lived in and loved Minnesota and has inspired writers with her classic book "If You Want To Write" for the last half century. She walked the lakes in Minneapolis daily and provided hospitality to countless writers in her home. Minnesota is a blessed place for writers to live and work, with organizations like the Loft and nationally recognized MFA Programs at the University of Minnesota and Hamline University. Brenda Ueland is an integral, extraordinary, part of that legacy.
