Andrew is my great-great-grandfather. He was one of the first volunteers for the 1st Minnesota Infantry during the Civil War and one of the few men who survived Gettysburg. I think he would be a great part of the exhibit not only because he fought during the Civil War but because he helped show what a young, new state can do when asked.
