A.C. Townley, as the founder and leader of the Non-Partisan League, was at the helm of a radical and to some, feared, political movement in Minnesota around World War One. His work with the labor movement laid the foundation for the Farmer-Labor Party, which eventually merged with the Democratic party to form our own DFL party. His NPL inspired farmers across the nation and internationally.
